I tried to write a cute little story about myself in third person, but I just couldn’t do it ya’ll. Hey! My name is Bailey Johnson and I am a lover of all things fiction, specifically the romance genres. I live on a farm with my husband and four year old son. We have an absolutely absurd number of chickens, three cats, one dog, and occasionally a horse and some cows. I’ve been writing stories since I was in high school and my husband convinced me it was time to try sharing them, so here we are!
If you love cowboys, caffeine and general life shenanigans, we should absolutely be friends!
How Kane Ridge Ranch Came to Be
In December of 2024, we lost our youngest son Ryatt at 20 weeks pregnant. I was devastated. Mother’s day this year felt impossible to get through, so I sat down and wrote a story. It was a fluffy 60k word novel that had no substance and all the good vibes. That story has transformed into a 90k book full of grit and emotion that honestly took me by surprise. I needed that fluffy book to get me through that week, but the product I have now is something I am so, so proud of. I cannot wait to share it with you!

Don’t Leave Me Behind will hopefully be releasing early 2026! I’m debating back and forth on an early release using kickstarter, for a fancy special edition.

Book one has been edited once by a developmental editor and is currently waiting for round two! Once round two is completed, we will have one more round with the Dev editor before it’s taken over by a grammar editor. After that, she’s ready! She’s going to be formatted and beautified and ya’ll will get your hands on her!
